This seminar series discusses topics in modern solid-state physics with a focus on nanoscience and -technology. We will study the physical properties of nanoscale structures such as nanotube, -particles, and wires. Experimental techniques to be discussed include optical spectroscopy, Raman scattering, and atomic-force microscopy.
