Dieser Kurs dient zur Einführung in das Thema Data Science um Aussagen
aus großen Datenmenge zu bekommen. Im Kurs werden theoretische
Hintergründe und mögliche Einsatzbereiche diskutiert. Zudem wird durch
praktische Anwendung und Prototypenentwicklung das gelernte Wissen
vertieft.

Folgende Themen werden angesprochen: SQL, NoSQL, Statistik, Methoden des
Maschinellen Lernens (Entscheidungsbäume, k-nächste Nachbarn, k-Means
Klassifizierung, DBSCAN), Visualisierung, Graphenanalyse.
This course will provide students with an introduction to Data Science
in order to make sense of data at scale. The course material will not
only provide the theoretical background of the techniques involved, but
engage you to gain the practical knowledge of prototyping these
solutions on problems yourself.

Some of the topics covered will be: SQL, NoSQL, Statistics, Machine
learning basics (Decision Trees, k-Nearest Neighbours, k-Means
Classification, DBSCAN), Visualization, Graph Analytics.
